I have decided to complete this cycle ride as my 3rd year event in my '10 in 10 years' challenge - but this year I would like to raise money for a cause that has tragically touched my family and I recently.

My uncle Eif passed away this year on the 25th of March after a 7 month battle with cancer.  During this time Macmillan provided great care and support to not only Eif but also my auntie Julie and my cousins Sean and Chele.

Eif was a wonderful man and a great uncle; the fact HUNDREDS of people turned up to his funeral to pay their respects tells you everything you need to know about Eif and what people thought of him.  He will be sorely missed by many.

I know Eif will be looking down on us as we attempt to complete this challenge in 24 hours, and in the moments of pain that will undoubtedly come I will try to use his memory and the dignity in which he carried his illness to help me through.

Please help support this cause and help raise money to allow Macmillan to continue to do the great work that they do in the fight against cancer.  Every little does mean a lot
