Hi, I'm Riku. I'm 19 years old and I suffer from Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. I also suffer from OCD and depression but those haven't been professionally diagnosed. 

Long story short, I was bedridden due to illness for approx. 6 months and I couldn't wash or brush my hair. Due to this, my hair became severely matted. After attempting to repair it for years now, I have finally come to the conclusion that it is holding me back, worsening my mental health, and I need to cut/shave the majority (possibly all) of it off. However, I don't feel confident enough to do that for myself. In fact, I'm terrified. So, instead, I've decided that I'll do it for charity too. 

I looked around for the right charity and stumbled across No Panic pretty quickly. Since the matter of cutting and shaving my hair is very personal to me, I wanted to pick a charity that feels rather personal too. No Panic is a UK-based charity that assists people with a variety of anxiety disorders and phobias, including OCD which I was especially pleased about since I feel it is an often overlooked illness yet very closely linked to anxiety. No Panic help those who have these illnesses in so many ways. They have helplines, recovery groups, mentoring— you name it.
