Story

Thank you for visiting and hopefully supporting the RMS 3 Peaks Team sponsorship site. The challenge is to consecutively climb, and travel between, the highest mountains of Scotland, England, and Wales (Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m)) within a 24 hour period and all 8 team members in working order.

The challenge involves some 450 miles of driving, and around 26 miles of walking / climbing. It also includes about 10,000' of ascent and descent (3300m) and we will spend around 11 hours driving between the peaks, and 13 hours or so walking, struting or crawling in the mountains.

We are expecting to meet some extremes of British mountain weather, both hot and cold - wet and dry, lack of sleep, uncomfortable traveling conditions, and the usual British traffic delays. But with the promise of a pint, the knowledge of raise money for a great charity and the support of Bertie Bassett we are confident in our success.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St. Michael's Hospice (North Hampshire) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
