Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and please take the time to read our story........

In April and May 2008 TK Maxx Distribution Services are taking part in a 2 month fundraising period.  The main event is taking place at the end of May involving 3 of our managers, Mick Wright, Mike Corbridge and Patrick Greene.  They will be cycling from our Wakefield site to Head Office in Watford via 3 other distribution sites and some of our stores, an amazing 250 miles!  They will be cylcing on a trandem bike (like "The Goodies").    This will be strenuous challenge especially as none of the 3 TK Maxx "Goodies" are cyclists so any support and encouragement is appreciated.

As part of this fundraising effort, 4 TK Maxx associates will be running the London Marathon, Lisa Ashpole, Lorna Edwards, Mick Wright and Mike Corbridge.  Lisa and Lorna are new to running marathons (and running in general!) and are being supported by veteran runners, Mick and Mike. They are both currently undergoing a rigorous training plan devised by their trainer, Mick Wright and finding it very difficult!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: NCH, the children's charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please help us to reach our target of £50,000 to help make a difference to the children that need it.

Many thanks for your support.

Mick, Mike, Patrick, Lisa and Lorna
