Story
On March 17th Andy, Pat, Max and I will be running through the streets of Barcelona in order to raise money for an inspiring charity; Stick 'n' Step.
Stick 'n' Step provides free specialist conductive education and support services to children with cerebral palsy, their families and carers. The charity has a place particularly close to my heart as they helped my nephew, Jonty, after he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age.
Jonty was born at less than 24 weeks gestation, weighing just 860 grams. He spent his first 6 months in hospitals, between the Countess of Chester, Alder Hey and Liverpool Women's. Stick 'n' Step was pivotal in Jonty's progress and played an instrumental role in developing his motor skills, speech and balance and making him the chirpy young man he is today.
Jonty's story is just one of many and the charity are now looking to branch out even more and open another centre to help in the development of more children with cerebral palsy . We'd like to play a small part in making this new centre a reality and are hoping a 26.2 mile run will be enough to persuade you to part with some pennies and make a donation to Stick 'n' Step - any donation, no matter large or small, would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks,
Jo, Andy, Pat & Max
