Hi Team,

So...... I'm bloody doing it..I'm running 26.2miles round Paris in April and this is my plea for you to help me turn this continental jaunt into an opportunity to contribute to an incredible charity, The Shooting Star Children's Hospice.

 

Shooting Star is a West London-based hospice relying wholly on voluntary donations to support children with terminal illness and their families. The charity is small but has unmeasurable value - enhancing quality of life where every moment counts to young people robbed of all the things we take for granted.

 

Services provided by Shooting Star include respite, day care, outreach care, family and support therapies and end of life care. These services make a real difference to families who find themselves in unimaginable circumstances - sharing the good days, being there every step of the way through the more difficult times.

 

The suffering and untimely death of a child will always be a horrible tragedy but Shooting Star gives these children the opportunity to get everything they can from the short time they are destined to have in this world. Who could argue that this is not an extremely worthy cause? 

 

Having visited the Shooting Star hospice in Hampton Court, I was blown away by the courage and spirit of young patients and the dedication and optimism of staff. 

 

Please give generously but any contribution however small will be gratefully received.
