Last year my friend and colleague Andy Forbes suddenly & tragically passed away. It was a terrible shock to all those who knew him or heard about the news. Fortunately, the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) were able to support & give some comfort to Andy's family. Shortly afterwards I had a medical and was declared 'unfit' but I was fortunate to have a choice and to change my lifestyle and get fitter!! I have therefore decided to set a goal to run the Bupa Great North Run (Half Marathon 13.1 miles) in memory of Andy and to raise money for CRY on September 20th 2009.
