I am going to swim the Channel.  Seriously.  Well, in a pool, and over a few weeks - but "swim the Channel" all the same - all 22 miles of it.  - And before you snort with derision - that's 1,408 lengths of my local pool!!

I know its a fag getting sponsorship requests from people, but that seems to be the way of the world - and it is a good cause.  And, hey, if you donate enough money, I could get a free holiday out of it!!
