We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

At the end of the recent Barclaycard Technology Office away day, inspired by the Barclaycard Apprentice charity efforts, the programme managers got talking about what we could do. The idea hit us as Roger Summers was crooning away on the microphone that we could cut off his long flowing locks! So a challenge was laid down...

"I will do it for a grand" he announced. So before he changes his mind we have set up a charity site on Just Giving. Our chosen charity is The Alzheimer's Society which is the leading UK care and research charity for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their families and carers.

However, being the BTO, we feel we need tougher target! So if we can hit £2000 then not only will Roger have his hair cut off, he will do it during the day on the ground floor Barclaycard House!

We have agreed with Barclaycard that they will match our contributions. So as a stretch target, we are aiming to raise £2500 which will raise £5000 in total - that will be a tremendous effort!

The actual hair cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday 22nd October in Northampton.
Please feel free to send this site to anyone connected with Barclaycard who may be persuaded to make a donation. If you want anymore information feel free to contact me.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
