After being inspired by stories and pictures in The Daily Telegraph of paragliders over the Himalayas Ron Mutton proprietor of Oxford based A1 plumbing and heating imagined himself soaring over these snow capped mountains.  Ron pursued his thoughts and has received the go ahead for the ultimate paragliding experience along with his son Adrian on 4^th November 2010.

Paying all their own expenses they will be taking off for ‘Help for Heroes’, which is still in great need of support. This is a well known cause that helps our wounded service men and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Ron and Adrian will embark on a journey through India to Daramasala. They will soar above the Dalai Lama’s residence at a height of upto 5,000 feet for two to three hours, at times taking them through thermals and sharing the air space with Golden Eagles and Griffin Vultures.

Both Ron and Adrian have endured and enjoyed many interests and adventures but see this as a great challenge as they will encounter scenes of villages and temples in a remote and unique area of the world.
