Hey Guys!

So another year is shooting by at Nexus, and God's been doing some AWESOME stuff this year! It's been a privilege to see first hand how Nexus shapes and influences a First Year's life. The input we get from the staff is of another level that I have ever encountered at school, or even at church, as we are around great role models every day, for almost a whole year! The whole college will partake in one of the following activities, whether they are first year students or the Directors, and we are counting on the support of YOU GUYS to make this happen! Nexus would crash and burn if it relied purely on student fees, and therefore depends massively on events such as concerts, Partners and of course Rag Week!

This year I will be taking part in another Musical In A Week, where the aim is to write a script, learn the lines, learn the songs, and learn the music, parts, props costumes set, everything you can think of IN ONE WEEK! Impossible you ask? 

Well last year we managed to not only scrape past, but nail an awesome Michael Jackson themed show. This year we will be going around the theme of Motown, so if you like Arethra Franklin, get yourself along to the ONCE ONLY showing on FRIDAY 14th MAY!

Other events this year include and ABC Challenge, where teams of cyclists will attempt to reach towns and cities in the UK in alphabetical order, Run Britain, where teams of 4 or 5 will work as a team taking it in turns to run from one side of the country to the other, a Touring Drummathon in which drummers will drum for a 24 hour period, and then rest and pack up and move on to their next destination in 12 hours, ready for their next set of drumming- this will repeat 5 times! The final challenge is Busking, where teams of 2 or 3 will busk at various destinations of their choice, and use the money they make to travel the furthest they possibly can!
