Story
After two years of terminal cancer my Mum died last month, and I can't begin to describe how cancer has changed my world. There are too many friends and relatives to list whose lives have been upturned in similar ways - my heart goes out to the multiple friends and family members who lost parents at much younger stages than I have, most particularly. Cancer affects us all differently, but its ubiquity and unfairness cannot be questioned for one minute.
To dwell on the injustice or horrors of the changes cancer has brought to my family's lives would be to give in to it - so instead, let's Race for Life.
Please donate anything you can. It's an amazing and truly worthy cause.
A world with cancer is a tragic normality; a world without cancer is a utopia I just cannot begin to hope for.
