Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 7th June 2014 a dedicated team of friends & family are to walk the notoriously difficult Ruby Walk in loving memory of Karen Brydon & Michelle Whyte. This year we as the dedicated team will be waking from Tesco, Macclesfield to Chapel-en-le-Frith where we will hold a toast at Rems to celebrate the life's of our absent friends in a fashion they would truly appreciate.

My sister Michelle was born in July 1973 but sadly passed away peacefully at home on the 7th December 2011 after a 14 month battle with breast cancer.

Michelle was a wonderful daugther, sister, wife but most of of a special mother to her 3 children Connor (15), Jade (14) and Joe (3).

For those of you who might not know Michelle as Michelle Whyte, she was Michelle Hibbert until marrying becoming Michelle Lomas and having 2 children (Connor & Jade) and then laterly remarrying and becoming Michelle Whyte and having another child (Joe).

In 2003 Michelle began to train as a midwife. This was her dream job and one which she excelled at. Once qualified she worked at Buxton's, Corbar and Stockports, Stepping Hill maternity units fulfilling her dream career.

It came as a great shock to all her family, friends and colleagues in Oct 2010 when Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. She received treatment for this but dispite being ill, never complained and tried to live life as normal as possible and still be a fabulous mum to her children. Unfortunatley in the second half of 2011 Michelle developed secondary cancer which she was not going to recover from. On the 7th December 2011, Michelle finally lost her battle with this cruel disease.

Doing this walk will hopefully raise lots of money for Blythe House which helped and supported Michelle during her battle, and your donations will hopefully help other local famlies who need as much help and support during their battles with cancer.
