On the 26th of April 2009 i'll be running the London Marathon for Save the Rhino International. The Rhino is a critically endangered animal, at the turn of the 19th century, there were approximately one million rhinos. In 1970, there were around 70,000. Today, there are fewer than 18,000 rhinos surviving in the wild.

Save the Rhino are a great charity that do much more than just protect Rhinos in the wild though anti-poaching and monitoring patrols. Their work also includes community conservation programmes helping developing sustainable conservation though education and local action.
