Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please help me reach my target.  I choose this charity as breast cancer is something that has affected people who are close to me and is also something that many others i know im sure can relate to.  Doing a marathon is going to be a massive challenge for me and I will need all the support I can get.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Update July 7th:

Just wanted to say a thanks for the donations I have recieved so far.  Less than 12weeks now to the marathon, so need to start putting in alot of miles!  No backing out now since I have my first sponsors..............damn!!!

Update 15th July:

Week 1 of my 12week training programme is complete, despite being back offshore have managed to clock in 54km this week.........significantly more than my previous weekly averages.  Got to run in Bergen this morning as my boats in port for the day, nice to be running in fresh air again, but got completely soaked!  Please keep the sponsors coming! :o)

Update 27th July:

In week 3 of training and all going well, although putting in the miles is tough going.  Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far.  Also recieved £300 from my work (Fugro-Rovtech) this week, which was much appreciated.

Update 10th September:

Now just over 3weeks to go.  Training has been up and down, with a few injuries, just hoping to keep going now.  Did Glasgow Half Marathon last week, which went well.
Please keep your sponsors coming and hopefully i can reach my £1000 target.

Update 1st october:

Less than 48hours to go now!  We've been doing our carbo-loading, heres hoping this weather improves a bit!  Thanks to everyone for there support, almost reached my target now, which I know Breast Cancer Care have been delighted with!

6th October:

Finished Marathon in 3hours 45mins 17s!

Very happy with how the race went.  Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me, feels great reaching both my charity and personal targets!
