Story

It's about time to take this running challenge globally and live up to one of my many nicknames ‘Mr Worldwide”.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for my Wilde Seven challenge, where I'll be running 7 marathons in 7 continents this year culminating in the Antarctic Ice Marathon in December 2023.

My challenge will see me running in the following marathons over 7 continents over the course of this year:

  1. Tokyo (Asia) - 5 March
  2. London (Europe) - 23 April
  3. Brazil (South America) - 11 June
  4. San Francisco (North America) - 23 July
  5. Sydney (Australia) - 17 September
  6. Cape Town (Africa) - 15 October
  7. Antarctica - 10 December

I'm excited and proud to be raising money for the Samaritans Charity in the UK, and specifically the Inner South West London Samaritans branch based in Putney, London, a charity that I hold dear to my heart.

For anyone that owes me a drink, please give the Samaritans the money, they deserve it more than me!

They are one of the 200  branches of the Samaritans - a national volunteer-led organisation that provides confidential, non-judgmental and emotional support to people in distress, including those at risk of suicide. The service is available 24/7 and free of charge, via 116 123.

The branch currently has around 150 trained listening volunteers, who support people who contact the helpline by telephone, email or web chat.

Getting a response from a real person and being given the time and space to talk things through helps people to explore their options and find a way through their problems.

Your donation will help the branch to continue to deliver this service - in branch but also through outreach work in settings like schools, prisons and food banks.

You can find out more about them at  https://www.samaritans.org/branches/putney/

Thank you for your time visiting my page.

James
