Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
I have decided to take part in this year's annual Tough Guy Challenge which promises to be an exruciatingly painful but adrenaline fuelled slog over ten miles of muddy terrain combined with a military assualt course in the glamorous depths of Wolverhampton on 31 January 2010.
I am doing this to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital's charity in honour of my best friend's daughter, little Reya Hamilton (pictured) who, thanks to the inspired work of the hospital and her amazing inner strength, managed to battle through cancer of the kidney last year at the tender age of 6 months.
In the words of her mother, Robyn, "It was a difficult time and yet, all my memories of the hospital are positive. The warmth and kindness of the nurses, the camaraderie in the parent kitchens over endless cups of tea, the big hugs from the people who were looking after Reya and the unrelenting support given by them to my husband and I will never be forgotten".
Please dig deep and donate now, every penny will go towards helping the treatment of the thousands of children like Reya at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks and my very best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010.
Russell
