Story
Thank you so much all who have donated! We completed our challenge with great success. We have managed to raise a phenomenal amount of money which has been given to UNICEF already. If you haven't donated but would still like to then you can still do it via the website. I have left the original story below for those of you who haven't read it before.
Thanks again from all of us!
8 Children. 4 Boats. 20 Kilometres.
A group of friends and I have decided it is our turn to do something to help Haiti. We had all seen the different fundraising events in the news and we have decided to have a go. We are all year 8 pupils (12-13 year olds) at Bishops Wordsworth Grammar School in Salisbury. We aim to raise £2000 by sailing from Lymington Marina to Christchurch Harbour. It should take nearly 5 - 6 hours at sea in four dinghys - two Bahia's and one Vago and a power boat which will be driven by adults. We have 6 weeks to plan and train for the event. In the planning we have to take into account: Tide, Wind, Weather, Route, Currents, and Saftey boat cover. In the training, we have to teach one of our members to sail. We are going to set sail on the 18th of April.
If you give a donation today then we thank you so much as just £1 will makes all the difference!
Thank you.
