Story
Ahh, its you. I knew you'd make it here. Woohoo! Disco! Disco! Disco! Disco! Feeling generous? Course you are. Lets continue.....
Im going to be racing in a rowing race called The Boston Marathon on the 19th of September this year. Thats Boston(UK). The original, possibly better, yet less well known version!
Anyways... Its over a distance of 31 miles or 50km.
Goes without saying that you dont go into such a race with a massively cheesy grin on your face (hence guinea pig). Being slightly mental however, we (well, me) think we can win it. At least in the division we will be rowing in. Who knows, we might even win it overall if the blisters aint too intense 45km in.
Were aiming to complete it in around 3.5hrs. If you use the rowing machine in the gym, that is a split time of 2m:06sec for every 500 metres, or 8m:24sec for each 2000 Metres to give you an idea.
It would be cool if you sponsored me. Dont feel you have to put down the
same or more than the last person though. Just a few spondoolies will
go a long way to something very worthwhile and in the UK. If your
overseas, I'm sure the research will help you too.
The charity I always raise money for is The British Heart Foundation, which could potentially come round to helping you, your parents, your kids etc etc at some point in the future, with all sorts of heart conditions. Basically, they do some cool research into keeping your ticker tocking!.
Here's a link to some of their latest news: Quite interesting if your pregnant or intend to be (honest).
Thanks for visiting my page. Much appreciated. Have a top day! Sandy :)
