Story
Yes, it really is true - I'm going to attempt to run a marathon.
I'm running it in memory of my mum, who is tragically no longer with us, and who is missed a great deal everyday. I'm hoping to raise money for the hospice that took such great care of her and who ensured that she passed away with dignity and respect. Hospice's around the country do such great work and are disgracefully underfunded and undersupported. Due to it's funding gap, the Wisdom Hospice has to raise around £1,000 a day to keep offering the care and support that it does to its patients and their families. It really is an amazing cause that brings a lot of support to those who need it.
So, whilst I am out there slogging away after work and at weekends, battling against the wind and the rain, trying to get ready for the big day - you can have the easy job of getting your bank card out of your wallet and digging deep (I'll accept cash or cheque if it's easier)! Or, we could swap places if you'd prefer?
Look out for me on the tele, or come down on the day to help carry me to the pub afterwards - I'll be the one at the back being overtaken by the pantomime horse and the 97 year old granny.
Thanks for your support!
Sarah
