We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to stop women dying from breast cancer.

Story

30th October 2002 is a day I will never forget. It's the day my parents sat me down to tell me my mum had breast cancer.
The word cancer evokes so many emotions for different people. For me.. It was all about how my mum was going to beat it.

I never really spoke to people around me about it. But the pain and anguish I went through is something I will never forget.

I was definitely a hands on family member. I ran from school to be at every appointment. I remember not understanding the medical terminologies but waiting to see my mum and dads faces light up to know the news was positive.

9 years on my mum is in the clear and a major inspiration to me.

What I do factor in everyday is how many girls go through all the above experiences and then lose their mums - something I truly can't imagine.

For this reason I am running the Virgin London Marathon 2012 for Breast Cancer Campaign. I am in no way a natural born runner and this is a huge challenge to say the least.

So please dig deep and donate now.

And a huge thank you in advance,

Sarah
