Story
Helloooooo!
Well, 6 months ago I decided I needed to set myself a challenge for 2010 - now I am wondering why!!!!
My training started 4 months ago and I've experienced plenty of ups and downs! I've also discovered I am most definitely NOT a long distance runner - but I guess that's where the challenge comes in!
I'm aiming to complete the 13.1 miles (or 21k) in under 2hrs and 10mins (if i don't collapse before!) - and to justify putting myself through this and to keep me 'running to the beat' - i decided to run for a very worthy cause - Macmillan Cancer Support.
I, unfortunately, know a lot of people who have either suffered with the disease or lost someone close to them from it. Sadly now it is so unbelivable common that it makes it even more important to ensure that we do everything we can to find new cures, prevantitive measures and ways in which to identify it as early as possible. Therefore any contribution you are able to make - no matter how small - will be making a difference.
So, if you want to contribute - this is how:
"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer."
So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
A HUGE HUGE thanks :)
