ABOUT SAVE THE STRIPES

SAVE THE STRIPES is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act 1973. Constituted in 2009, with a group of individuals dedicated to the cause “SAVE THE TIGER”, the society has its base in the tiger state of Madhya Pradesh in . The society presently constitutes of a few individuals committed to the cause of conservation, but welcomes networking & collaborations with interested organizations and individuals. The SAVE THE STRIPES Society has, as its primary objective, the conservation and protection of wildlife, at all the National Parks of Madhya Pradesh. 

NGO, SAVE THE STRIPES has thus been constituted with the idea of increasing the resources of the Forest Department to combat various problems faced in the management of Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh. The society is currently working towards spreading awareness amongst locals towards Tiger and forest conservation, Organising medical camps for villagers, Educating villagers about wildlife and Compensating for the loss of cattle lifted by the tigers and other wild animals, which in turn leads to the poisoning of tigers by the villagers as a retaliatory step in the surrounding areas of the tiger reserves. The society also extends its hands towards research work and surveys in and around tiger reserves helping the forest department and other dedicated organizations.
