Story
Yes, Yes we know...! No it doesn't look like we have learnt our lesson, but this is for something that has much personal meaning to us, so we are taking part in the Worthing Birdman again.
Last year if you recall we did the jump as Dastardly & Muttley, for which we went completely over the top and built a plane which only just managed to fit on to Worthing pier. This year in keeping with the trend of dogs in cartoons, we are basing our theme on Scooby Doo! I am Shaggy, Nick is Scooby and in support is Velma (Vickie), Daphne (Cath) and Scrappy (Dexter). Sorry about including Scrappy, we all know he ruined the cartoon, but the opportunity to dress Dexter up in a little dog outfit is too good to miss!
Experience has now taught us that a. Fun class flying machines do not actually fly in any way and therefore going over the edge in the Mystery Machine van will drop vertically just the same as our bi-plane from last year (which sadly we were not allowed to go over with due to 'ealth n safety').
We we be driving over the edge around 1:00pm on Sunday 13th July and your support will be very much appreciated!
A bit about the Charity - Canine Partners is a purely donation run charity that trains and supplies helper dogs to people with disabilities. These dogs are A Ma Zing and you all know how great our Mum's helper dog Herbie is, so we are hoping again to raise over £1,000 to help train a dog for someone else to benefit.
Details on Canine Partners and their fantastic work can be found at http://www.caninepartners.co.uk/
