We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  I am climbing Mnt Kilimanjaro on February 5th 2010 to help raise the vital funds needed for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (for the Louis Dundas Pallitative Care Unit) so that they can continue the amazing research and work that they do.

Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain at 5,095 meters (19,340 feet).  It is the highest free standing mountain in the world and dominates its landscape unlike any other mountain.  I know it's not going to be easy and I'm nervous about the altitude sickness, dizziness, nausia, headaches and blisters that may occur.  However, I'm determined to train and try my hardest to get to the top!

I'm doing this with three mad but lovely friends Frances, Gabby and Rachael.  We'll be away for 9 days and I know I'll miss my family enormously.  GOSH needs redevelopment and money to continue vital research to make sick children better.  Any money makes a difference.

Thank you for your support, helping me to make this challenge work and donating what you can.
