Jersey Hospice Care Cycle Ecuador · 14 November 2009

Jersey Hospice Care offers specialist palliative care to patients with any life-limiting condition. Our aim is that patients are enabled to live the remainder of their lives to the full, to remain at home if they wish, and to die with dignity where they choose. Thank you

Story

On the 14th November 2009, Matt Falla and Emma Gouyette will be embarking on a 10 day, 600km cycle through the Amazon and over the Andes in Ecuador to raise funds for Jersey Hospice Care.

Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative nursing service which provides holistic care, free of charge, for patients with cancer and motor neurone disease. This is the second challenge for the charity Matt has participated in, after Cycle Vietnam in 2007.

If Vietnam is anything to go by, the challenge will be tough but amazing; breathtaking scenery, lung and leg busting climbs, breakneck speed descents, potholes, extreme camping, wandering livestock, early mornings and stomach challenging cuisine.

Matt and Emma are aiming to raise £5,000 each, which is enough to run Jersey Hospice for 2 days. Any support you can give is very much appreciated.

Some further information on the trip is attached below.

Please help us in trying to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause.

Many Thanks

Matt & Emma
