Story
It has been my lifelong ambition to complete the London Marathon and what better year to do it, than in the year I turn 40! It is a case of now or never, so I have decided to put myself through an intense training plan and push my body to limits, it has never been close to - to see if it is possible to achieve this dream. I am determined and will get over that finish line, one way or another. I have been keeping a blog of my training date, which you can read on http://www.realbuzz.com/blogs/u/shazzer/it-is-now-or-never0/
I am also delighted to take this opportunity to raise funds for my good friends at the Multiple Sclerosis Support Centre in Chester. They have helped me get this far and I want to raise as much money as possible for them.
It is such wonderful organisation that helps so many people locally in Chester, North Wales, Wirral and Merseyside with MS and funds are needed no matter how small. To give an idea what your funds will be used for:
£45 could buy an oxygen therapy mask, giving people with MS access to concentrated oxygen and helping to relieve their symptoms.
£120 could cover the costs of a support worker for a day.
£500 would help us to buy valuable balance and mobility equipment to support our physiotherapists.
£2500 could contribute to the costs of our programme of complementary therapies.
£4,000 would cover the costs of running the Centre for a week.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: MS Support Centre gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
