Story
Hi all,
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!!
As many of you will know my wonderful Dad passed away extremely suddenly in July last year as a result of an aortic aneurysm . His death was a huge shock to me, the rest of my family and in fact the whole community. I miss him a lot!
This is only one of the many lovely articles that were in the local press - http://www.derryjournal.com/journal/Gentleman-Billy-laid-to-rest.3075906.jp
Often when I was back home I would 'joke' about running the Waterside Half Marathon...and he would always laugh and say I would never do it....so now I am going to! He was there every year in his capacity as a sports photographer so I'm gutted that he won't be there to 'snap' me coming across the finish line as I know he would have been really chuffed!
I've decided to run for Chest, Heart and Stroke as my Dad had previously had heart troubles, and despite recovering from a double heart bypass operation almost 10 years ago unfortunately it was a different heart related condition that took him from us.
The aim of NI Chest, Heart and Stroke is to promote the prevention of and alleviate the suffering resulting from chest heart and stroke related illnesses. It does this through Support & Rehabilitation, research, health promotion, lobbying, financial support and advice & information.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me!
Love Sharon
