Story
Mental health has and probably always will be a difficult thing to talk about. But that doesn't mean it should be.
As somebody who has dealt with it for the past few years, I thought it was about time I did something positive to combat the negative connotations associated with admitting it.
I like to think I know my friends and family, but I've come to realise that a lot of people, especially guys, hide or merely don't express how they are genuinely feeling day to day. And that's why I've decided to raise money for Muted. A charity dedicated to help get rid of the stigma surrounding mental health and making it ok to just be open about it.
Nobody's perfect, you can't always be a tough guy, and sometimes you just need to talk about stuff before it gets too heavy to hold.
Here's to the dudes that are proud to say they've got issues and aren't afraid to get out there and talk about them!
(Disclaimer: Obviously all mental health is important and it's not just men who keep quiet about it. So any ladies out there who are going through some s*** and need to talk to someone, please pick up the phone or go chat to somebody who can help you.)
