Dear friends

Thanks so much for all those people who have sponsored me so generously.  I have been overwhelmed by the donations which I have received.  I know that many people have done this out of love and support for my brother Clive.  Many of your know that he died at the beginning of April after an amazing battle with cancer.  As a result of it being so close to the time of the marathon I was strongly adivsed not to run it this year.  However I am told that my place has automatically been reserved for next year so the training will not go to waste! 

I really hope that you will understand and will still be happy to give to such a worthy cause - for Clive if for nothing else.
