Story
My name is Shona and I have been running for the last 16 years, taking part in multiple races; ranging from the Manchester 10km to the London Marathon. Running has been a great way to keep myself fit and active, while taking part in races adds to the enjoyment.
Back in May, my son; Callum, started working for the Congo Children Trust. He had an amazing experience and told me about what was going on in the Congo and what the Congo Children Trust were doing to help. The Congo Children Trusts project, Kimbilio, helps street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo, by providing food, shelter, and education, with the underlying goal of reuniting them with their families.
Having already signed up to take part in the Great South Run (10 mile run in Portsmouth), I thought it would be the perfect oppurtunity to try and raise some money for the organisation.
