Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I will be achieving a very 'tender age' in 2010 I wanted to mark this occasion with a rewarding challenge.  The challenge, a 300  mile bike ride from to over 4 days from 26th May.  The reward, being able to raise money for Headway - The Brain Injury Association.  I will be doing this ride with two girlfriends (Jenny & Lesley, aka The Tri-cycle Trollops!) so that we can share the laughs and tears along the way.

Most of you will be aware that my Nephew, , was shot in the head whilst on a Gap Year in in December 2007.  He has been an inspiration to me and to so many others since then.  I am doing this challenge for as he never gives up, so how could I.  has now left the neuro rehab hospital and lives in his own house.  Headway will be involved in this next chapter of ’s life.  You will see from the attached two 'photos the remarkable recovery that Matt has made.  The first one after his brain operation that saved his life in December 2007 and then two years later, giving his favourite aunty a hug.

I have to raise a minimum of £1300.  The costs of this event are fully funded by myself, therefore, 100% of your donation will go to Headway.

Please give generously and thank you so much for supporting me.  I’d also love to receive encouraging text messages from 24th to 30th May!
