Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This trip ('the big commute') is going to be a challenge I'll enjoy, so I've paid for it. That will cover costs, and make a reasonable donation towards the Ocean Youth Trust (OYT). But if I can raise some more through JustGiving, that would be brilliant.
OYT Ocean Youth Trust Scotland operates three sailing ships which take young people aged between 12 and 24 to sea on youth development residentials. The voyages, which last over 5 days provide a safe, unique and extremely effective environment for the personal development of young people. Starting from on Friday 20th August, in the right conditions the sail of 275 nautical miles up to Lerwick, Shetland, will see us arriving on Tuesday 24th August. The second leg leaves the same day heading for the . It’s approximately 500 nautical miles and we go through one of the world’s most spectacular sailing grounds; passing , south through The Minch between the outer Hebrides and Skye, leaving Coll to starboard, around the Mull of Kintyre then and finally the home straight up to Gourock and the finish line.
