Story
I need your support to help me run the Reading Half Marthon for Great Ormond Street Hospital on 29 March.
Yes a half-MARATHON that is over 21km or over 13miles for you metric martyrs just by moving my legs. And I can only get there if I know all my friends and family have dug deep to will me on.
Any money you kindly donate will help to build and fund a new special cardiac theatre providing life saving operations for children.
Great Ormond Street Hospital also provided a massive amount of help and suport to my friend Andrew Dokleman who sadly died of bone marrow cancer in 1991 when we were ten.
And they also save the lives of premature babies. I was born severely premature and did not even have properly formed ears, and look I turned out sort of OK so please help more babies like me who need looking after.
If I get enough support I also promise to train really hard and run it in under two hours, until this week I had not ever run even a third of the way, and even then my knees turned to jelly.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! If you do you will be my friend for ever. If you don't I will follow you round in the street like a chugger until you do, if that still does not work you will be getting the Geldoff treatment.
As an extra incentive I will match fund the largest individual donation below - so think big, and make me pay!
