Story
It’s my 40th year and it was either buy a Harley Davidson or cycle the length of Britain, and as you a can read I’ve chosen the cheap option. I am joined by my Dad Pete (64), and his best mate Mike (even older than Pete). It will be my first and last time cycling Lands End - John O’Groats, LEJOG, with two old timers who find the prospect of 9 hours sitting on a leather saddle and spending a night in a bunk bed their idea of a holiday.
The purpose of my journey is to spend two weeks with my dad, see the length of our wonderful country and raise some money for St Luke’s hospice in Winsford, which provides care for people suffering from a life-threatening illness. St. Luke’s relies on public donations and fundraising to provide essential free support and care for people in Central andSouth Cheshire.
Over the fifteen days I will be blogging our journey with texts, pictures and video. Please visit our website site http://simonkidwell.blogspot.com to keep up with our progress.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
