Trailwalker

Trailwalker is a annual 100km run/walk challenge from Portsmouth to Brighton, taking place on the 17/18 of July in aid of Oxfam.

Is comprised of 4 'young' and beautiful female hopefuls who will aim to walk the whole distance in under 30 hours and one greatly needed support member.

Training

Only 2 weeks to go until the big day and we are making our final preparations...........what footwear and blister cream to use, what food we will want to eat, which sections of the route to try and run...etc etc....the only thing we know for sure is that we dont want it to be too hot and sunny and we dont want the day to be a downpour.....lucky we are doing the challenge in england so we can predict the weather accurately!!!!

The last couple of weeks have involved various training sessions including a 38 mile training walk on the south downs, climbing various very high mountains in scotland, running a half marathon on the hottest day of the year (not pleasant!) and we still have a walking weekend covering approximately 50 miles in the lake district to complete ....obviously we havent all done all of these things, we do have jobs! but as I'm sure you can tell we have put in a lot of time and effort into our training and although we know it wont be easy we are hoping that the experience will be as pain free as possible.
