We fund pioneering research to tackle bowel cancer.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We are a group of friends, most of whom had worked together at Cancer Research UK, that share a common interest in football. So, what better way for us to do something that would combine our passion for football and desire to do our bit to help cure cancer than by taking part in this year's Gillete Bobby Moore Fund Championship in Wimbledon on the 18th of May 2008 (11AM onwards). If you are free on the day, please come along and lend us your support at Goals Wimbledon, Beverley Way, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 4PH
.

Bobby Moore is a legend and a hero to millions, including us. At the age of 51 he died of bowel cancer – today, bowel cancer still claims 44 lives a day in the UK. Doctors estimate that over 80% of people would survive if the disease was caught early enough. By raising money you can help Cancer Research UK fund the research and screening programmes needed to save lives!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
