Story
Final Update: I did it!!!
I made it round the race in 2 hours 54 minutes!
As my knee was still not completely recovered I had to take it easier than I would have liked, I think I ran about 10 miles and walked quickly through the rest.
It feels like a bit of a blur now, but it was a fantastic experience and I surprised myself as I'm not sure I really thought I could complete it.
Thank you everyone for your kind words, sponsorship, support and for those who were there, your cheering!!
I'm so pleased, and most importantly...I made my Dad happy.

*Update 1: On Sunday 16th Feb I went on an 8 mile run, and managed to injure my knee.
After 2 sessions with the osteopath, investing in some new runners and wearing a knee support everyday, I am back on track.
Unfortunately I've lost 2 weeks worth of training, so my only aim now is to complete the run before the cleaners start sweeping the streets!
I am still going to be running the half marathon - I am more determined than ever to do this (knee permitting, of course). *
Hello!!
So my unhealthy obsession with martial arts has now developed further to try out this running malarkey...and I'm very scared, cos I'm really not a runner!
I'm raising money for Leukaemia Research - I chose to do this for my Dad, who is currently going through his second round of chemotherapy for Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia...this is for you Dad!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page - whatever you can afford to sponsor all helps towards raising money, so do what you can and help me raise some cash!!
Here's the official stuff:
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me and thanks for your support.
See you at the finish line!
