Mum and I have seen for ourselves the effects that Alzheimers has on both the sufferer and those who care for them, consequently it is a charity that we are keen to support.

When mum asked me to do this 10k run with her it was all a bit of a laugh, but we have decided that with all the training that we are putting in, we should use the opportunity to raise some funds for a charity that is very close to our hearts.  Knowing that the sweat and blisters will be aiding the Alzheimer's Society will make it all worthwhile.

Mum is trying to convince me that the Marathon is next - not sure I am ready for that - but who knows, now I am a convert to the running religion, she might persuade me to do another 10k!! (did I really say that)
