Story
After successfully running 12.1 miles (and walking 1 mile) of last year’s Great North Run, I am taking the long trip back up north to try and go one better and actually run all 13.1 miles!
Unfortunately my intended 3 month strict training plan (where I run to work every day, quit alcohol and only eat low carb protein salads) hasn’t quite materialised so I have decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK in the hope that this will spur me on to the finish line and hopefully beat the 2 hour mark. I am conscious that many of you are bombarded with donation requests throughout the year (for much tougher feats that a just meagre half marathon!) but any donations, however small, will genuinely be very much appreciated. Thanks for your support! Stephen
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
