The blog will give you an idea of my preparations for the road ahead along with a few observations and perhaps even a frustration or two.

The bike ride is In aid of the St. Augustine Living Heritage Appeal.  As the vicar I have undertaken a London to Paris bike ride and then back .  This will take place over several days in mid-September leaving from the gates of St. Augustine following the Sunday service on September 16th.  The route will be London to New Haven (Brighton), ferry to Dieppe and then finish at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.  After a days rest I will undertake the retun trip.  If you check out my blog you will find links to the maps of the route.
      I have not been on a bike for quite a few years but I have started the training rides with the view that I will be ready on the day. If you have any tips to pass on about the route, or training, or words of encouragement they would all be very much appreciated.  To email me just CLICK HERE.
