Story
Hello! Thanks so much for visiting our fundraising page!
Sunday 26 April 2009 - Saturday 2 May 2009 is Save the Children Week, where supporters come together to raise money and make as much noise as possible for Save the Children. Save the Children Week 2008 was a great success, raising over £380,000.
This year, we hope to raise EVEN MORE!! And this is how we hope to do it.......
On Thursday 30th April 2009, Save the Children is hosting 'Strictly Save Them', with 6 couples dancing their socks off in order to raise as much dosh as possible. Steve and I are taking part (it seemed like a good idea in the pub.....), and every £1 raised counts as 1 vote for us, so the more money we raise, the better chance we have of winning!! Competition is fierce, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate!!
On a more serious note, obviously the real winner here is Save the Children, as every single penny we raise goes towards helping children across the world. There are still nearly 10 million children who die every year from hunger or preventable diseases, and we don't think a child should have to die because of where they were born. Your money will help us put a stop to this injustice, so PLEASE donate - it's a cliché, but every little really does help!!
(For further information on Save the Children, visit http://www.savethechildren.org.uk).
** TICKETS FOR 'STRICTLY SAVE THEM' ARE £10 AND ARE ON SALE NOW!! **
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Save the Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation).
Thank you!!
