Story

Hey,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the London Marathon in April on behalf of the Mental Health Foundation. They are a charity founded in 1949 with the aim of providing information, carrying out research campaigns and improving services for anyone affected by mental health problems, whatever their age and wherever they live.

At any given time, as many as 1 in 4 people in the UK are suffering from a Mental Health issue. Depression is probably the most common issue, affecting 1 in 6 people during the course of their lifetime.1 in 20 people will suffer from some sort of dementia. On a personal note, my grandmother died of Alzheimer's and my grandfather also suffers from it. The Mental Health Foundation are working tirelessly to help people suffering from these (and many other) conditions, and to break down the social stigmas associated with them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks again for visiting this page, and if you'd like to sponsor me I would be very grateful!

Cheers

Steve
