Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On May 25th I will be undertaking a 70 mile road cycle challenge from Ashtead to West Wittering. We will be taking a route through the lung busting Surrey Hills and over the South Downs, finishing up on the south coast.
The ride is to raise money for our chosen charity Smile Train which is focused on solving the problem of cleft lip and palate in developing countries. Millions of children in the developing world are suffering with unrepaired clefts and yet every child could be helped with surgery that costs as little as £150 and takes just 45 minutes. Jamie, our youngest was born with a cleft lip. He was lucky because it was relatively minor and it didn't affect the palate. He was also lucky because he was born in the UK where reconstructive surgery is freely available and as a result he is unlikely to be affected as he grows up. Millions of other children aren't so lucky. Check out the Smile Train website for more info. You can also see the trailer for the Oscar winning documentary about the charity by clicking HERE
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Smile Train gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Thanks for your support!
