On 1st August 2010 I am taking part in the in the UK Ironman Triathlon - a 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile cycle and finishing with a marathon (26.2 miles) - all to be done in a maximum of 17 hrs (I'm hoping for around 13 hrs). This is my first Ironman and almost certainly my last.

Many people have offered to sponsor me and so I have decided to raise money for Epilepsy Scotland. Last year my 11 year old nephew, Tom Elliot, was diagnosed with Epilepsy and both Tom and his family have received a great deal of support from Epilepsy Scotland.
