Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I was a pledge runner, meaning I pledged to raise £1500 for CRY, though with all your support we have raised over least £5500, as my target shows.

On the race day the weather was relatively good with a few showers in the second half. I completed the race in 5 hours and 41 minutes and was glad to see so many supportive faces on my way round.

To see photos and hard, un-photoshopped evidence of me taking part in the marathon, go to www.marathonfoto.com/order_my_photos.cfm?BFI=7vt15rj6ws
If this doesn't work, go to www.marathonfoto.com, select the London Marathon 2008, enter FOYLE in the surname box and 49010 in the bib number section.

There are some very ammusing photos to say the least! Please, click ahead and have a look!

Sadly the motivation behind this was due to a recent loss. On Monday 12th November 2007, Thomas Dominy, aged 20, passed away and was found by his mother, one of my closest friends. Anyone who knew Tom will probably remember a happy, easygoing, polite, handsome young man, who grew out of the bright spark of a child that we watched grow up. Tom touched many with his life and actions, and will be sorely missed by many.

CRY aim for many promising things, including tests for children while at school to highlight any irregularities. They hope that with their funds they can save as many young people as possible from SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome) and also prevent families from having to experience such devastating losses.

All information is available on the CRY website.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please still sponsor me now! Help me to continue to smash the target!

Many thanks for your support.

Tom would have been 21 today.
Still on our minds, still in our hearts.

In loving memory of Tom Dominy.
