In September I walked with a group of other people along the Great Wall of China to raise money for the Cancer charity, The Eve Appeal.

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, the challenge itself, the exhilaration of the walk, the friendship and cameraderie and the sense of achievement and a little anti-climax once it was over.  I will never forget the scenery, the food, the hard climbs, the tricky descents but most of all the wonderful people I was with.  But more importantly we all helped raise a lot of money for Cancer.

Cancer has hit my family and friends a number of times over the last few years and it is an awful experience both for the sufferer and the people close to them. 

I want to try to help ease some of that suffering and at the same time visit a wonderful place, meet different people and know that I am both enjoying myself and raising money for a very good cause.
