Hi everyone,

I decided to do the Women's 5K Challenge again, hopefully I can improve my fitness levels and also raise funds for an important charity, Refuge--a national charity for women and children who experience domestic violence, providing emergency accommodation and emotional and practical support. 

£10 could go towards the cost of securing a protection order to prevent a perpetrator from harassing and abusing a woman.

£20 could provide one woman with an ‘emergency pack’ of basic toiletries and food.  When women arrive at a refuge following a violent assault, with nothing other than the clothes they are wearing, items like this help them get back on their feet.

£50 could pay for a psychologist to support two abused children, helping them to come to terms with the trauma of witnessing or experiencing domestic violence.

£100 could support Refuge’s education work, helping us to ensure that a woman experiencing domestic violence knows where to get life-saving support.
