Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Welcome.
The Plan
To trek to Everest base camp.
Why?
Because I am very lucky to have such a wonderful life and yet there are people out there who do not even have the most basic of essentials to survive. With your support we can help some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world gain access to clean drinking water.
The Cause
"By means of water, we give life to everything"
The cause is very simple - to help provide clean water and adequate sanitation so as to stop over 3 million children dying each year due to the lack of it.
For those people living without sanitation and water, sustaining development in health, education and livelihoods is near impossible. They are locked into a cycle of poverty and disease. Through your support and donations we can help alleviate their suffering.
The Trek
I will be trekking for 10 days, for an average of 7 hours each day on as little as 40% of the normal levels of oxygen. Starting at Lukla (2,840m) and finishing above the Khumbu Glacier at Everest Base (5,200m).
In order to get into some sort of decent shape for this trek I have started a training regime which is now being intensified so that hopefully I will get to Base camp and back in one piece!
Your Support
Please help and donate generously as all the funds you help me to raise will go directly to providing clean drinking water for people throughout Africa and Asia regardless of their race, religion or gender.
If you can help, please donate through this site. It is simple, fast and totally secure and the most efficient way to sponsor me and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax can be added to your gift at no cost to you.
To maximise your donations, I will be covering all of the expenses for the trek so all of your donations will go directly to charity and not towards a trekking adventure for me!
So please sponsor me now! And a very big thank you for your support.
