In a moment of madness I decided I was ready for yet another mental and physical challenge by volunteering to take part in the 1st of many Ivanhoe Challenges in order to raise vital money for the local charity Wishes 4 Kids.

The day begins at 4am (yes, that's AM!) on Saturday 20th June 2009. The challenge is to complete a 35 mile walk in 1 day around the Ashby-de-la-Zouch countryside whilst navigating myself through fields following a map, hopefully making friends with the local wildlife, preventing the appearance of blisters and preserving my toe nails! Uggghhhh!
